Photography
A summer job during high school brought me to a photographer's studio in Italy, where I spent weeks sorting, scanning and retouching glass-plate archive photos. Since then, old cameras have stayed close: film cameras, digicams, camcorders, anything with a bit of character. In the past years I've also found more and more joy in digital photography. Still more hobby than profession, but this is a small collection of what comes out of it.
My travel camera. Compact, no lens changes, always in the bag. The built-in film simulations are a contradiction for someone who loves analogue, but that grainy, filmy look straight out of camera is hard to argue with.
Olympus, Minolta, Nikon, Kodak disposables, whatever shows up at a flea market or in someone's basement. Different film stocks, different colours, sometimes developed myself, sometimes by a lab. Always a bit of a surprise.
Technically my video camera. But sometimes while filming, a frame just works as a photo too. Different lenses, different moods. Looking forward to experimenting more with it.
My grab-and-go camera. Took a while to find this one, but I knew exactly what I was looking for: that sharp, boxy design and a viewfinder. 7.1 megapixels, soft tones and a grainy pixel quality that just works.
